in London, or Texas?
The first day in London. The heatwave has barely let up---if I closed my eyes I could easily pretend I was still stuck in that hell that was Texas.
Our flight was the first to land at Heathrow this monring, at exactly 6.01am. That, plus the fast track check-in at immigration and the ever so dependable Heathrow Express, I made it to my hotel in central London at just after 7am. So early I didn't know what to do with myself!
I will go on record here and say the Intercontinental in London rocks. Normal check-in is 2pm, I got here before 7.30am and they checked me in without missing a beat--with all my info and preference from previous visits. On top of that, I am in a corner room with the view of Hyde Park.
All is almost well in the world but for Chris on the wrong side of the pond. :-(
