Say what you will about Facebook and its creepy privacy policy. But Facebook was my primary source of accurate, timely news and updates during the whole mess in BKK. FB (and to a lesser extent Twitter) made available channels of communication that would otherwise have been difficult or even impossible. It also helps to separate truth from rumors when you hear it directly from faces you know and trust, not some faceless, shapeless, and at times clueless -looking at you CNN- news agencies. Thank you Facebook.
